Financial security: what i'd do with an extra $1,000 a month

Let's dream of financial security and an extra $1,000

If I had an extra $1,000 per month, I wouldn’t buy more gear. I wouldn’t upgrade to some luxury car.

I’d book a damn vacation—and actually relax.

Because the truth is, right now, most of my trips come with a background hum of anxiety. Even when I’m finally “away,” part of my brain is scanning the back of my wallet thinking:

“If that bill hits early, I’m screwed.”“What if my ride home falls through and I can’t cover the backup plan?”“Was this irresponsible?”

It’s not just the money. It’s the fragility of planning something beautiful—and knowing a single unexpected transaction could unravel the whole thing.

So yeah. An extra $1,000? That’s peace of mind. That’s a round-trip without the financial PTSD. That’s finally saying yes to a spontaneous road trip, a beach week, or a friend’s destination wedding—and not needing to check five banking apps first.

Vacations are supposed to restore you. I want that. And I want to build a business that funds that—not one that drains me so hard I forget what rest even feels like.

This is why I’m doing the work now, so that one day soon, when I open my calendar and see a blank space that says “trip,” I don’t flinch. I just pack.
